Dear Clients,
Our opening hours during the week and weekend are as follows:
8:00am-7:00pm.
9:30am-3pm Saturdays
We are organising that all our staff will be effectively backroom staff as much as possible and consultations will be carried out over the phone. What this means for you is that you will drop your pet off in the waiting room and wait outside or in your car ready to take your call from the vet. We have some outdoor seating and umbrellas available incase of bad weather.
We understand that some of you may have concerns about leaving your pet in the practice alone but we would like to reassure you that it will only be for a short time, and as always, your pet is in safe hands. This is a new way of working for us all and we ask you to bear with us as we iron out this new routine.
In addition to the steps we’re taking as a practice to protect everyone who works in and visits our practice, we kindly ask that you take the following precautions:
Please contact us if you’d like further advice about caring for your pet over the coming months.
New Protocol
Dropping off your pets:
There will be a receptionist in the reception ready to help you from a safe distance.
When you arrive please call from outside to let reception know if reception hasn't
seen that you are here already.
Cats
Again reception will be here to guide you from a safe distance. We ask that all you
place your cat in their basket with them facing the wall and then wait outside or in
your car for the vet to call.
Dogs
Please loop you dog lead to the dog park hook in reception and leave the practice to
take your consult call. We will collect your dog from the waiting area with our own
dis-infected leads and place your lead on a hook for you to collect your dog.
Please be assured we will do our utmost to make sure that we take all the
measurements necessary to avoid contamination.
Just as there may be a little wait sometimes to give consultations your call may be a
little delayed. We are aiming at no longer than a 5-10 minute delay.
Payment
After your consultation has ended our reception team will phone you to collect
payment either via phone, or in reception as we have now introduced safety screens.
Treatment/Medication
The treatment/medication as discussed in the consultation will be left with your pet for collection, which will prepared with care to avoid contamination.
Please phone if you would like to organise a longer prescription.
If your pet is due a booster annual vaccination, but you are unable to come into the practice, we are happy to defer these until time periods stated below. If your pet is due a rabies vaccination, this will still need to be done to be fit to travel abroad.
PRIMARY & BOOSTER VACCINATIONS:
Puppies & kitten 1st and 2nd primary vaccinations will be done.
Unfortunately we will be unable to carry out home visits for both general checks or euthanasias. Due to the current pandemic, it is now not safe for our staff to come into clients homes.
With the kindest wishes
